Veronica Rosas (Mexico, 2000) is an interdisciplinary artist focusing on painting. In her work, she uses worldly concepts in which the supernatural and the strange try to make their appearance. She captures her personal experiences and emotions, evoking the “otherworldly” to create in her work visual manifestations of magic, surrealism, and energies, presented in a continuous opposition between kitsch and elegance.


 

In 2019, she was awarded a scholarship by The School of The Art Institute of Chicago to pursue a Fine Arts (BFA) degree where she received honors and stood out as a student leader. During her studies, she showcased her work in group shows and worked as a teaching assistant at SAIC, as well as, working as a photo documenter and gallery assistant for SITE Galleries. 

Her work has been exhibited in Italy, the USA, and Mexico. She is currently working as a consultant for contemporary art galleries in Mexico, as well as producing work in her studio in Mexico.
